Getting to know Jim Tennant

Jim Tennant is an experienced real estate agent who moved to Bend in 2013, obtained his Oregon real estate license and joined The Garner Group as a licensed Broker. He entered real estate in 2005 while living in Las Vegas and retains his Nevada license.
Jim was affiliated with two large national franchise real estate firms in Las Vegas.

A native of Cincinnati, Jim graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with degrees in political science and sociology. An accomplished musician, he performed with show bands at Walt Disney World’s Epcot Center and was band leader and trumpet player for 12 years on cruise ships operated worldwide by Carnival Cruise Lines and Princess Cruises. He and his wife, Mollie, lived in Portland between cruises. They met aboard a cruise liner where she was performing as a singer.

A two-time All-American golfer in high school, Jim was assistant golf pro at The Revere Golf Club at Anthem and caddie at Shadow Creek Golf Club in Las Vegas before beginning his real estate career.

Golf and music are Jim’s primary interests. He continues to perform professionally in musical engagements as the occasion arises.
