Getting to know Mollie Tennant

Mollie Tennant first joined Harcourts The Garner Group Real Estate as a broker upon earning her Oregon real estate license early in 2014. Later she put her real estate career aside to become Education Coordinator for the Tower Theatre Foundation. She reinstated her Broker’s license in 2016 and rejoined Harcourts The Garner Group.

From 2006 to 2012, Mollie was a real estate agent with a large national franchise affiliate in Las Vegas, working as a team with husband Jim Tennant. She moved to Bend in 2012; Jim followed in 2013. He also is a licensed Broker with Harcourts The Garner Group.

Mollie grew up in Los Gatos, Calif., and Springfield, Ore. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in speech and communications. Involvement in theater arts at the U of O led her to a career in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, aboard cruise liners and in a Las Vegas review.

She performed as a singer in production and cabaret settings for Royal Viking Line and Princess Cruises. She and band leader Jim Tennant married after meeting aboard ship. They moved briefly to Portland and continued to Las Vegas, where Mollie joined the cast of Don Arden’s Jubilee! at Bally’s Hotel and Casino. She appeared intermittently as a lead singer with the classic Las Vegas revue over the next 10 years while she and Jim raised a family of two young boys, now grown.

Mollie is an avid skier, hiker and energetic civic booster for the attractions of Bend and Central Oregon. She is active in local musical theater as well.
