Getting to know Ryan Sandstrom
Thanks for taking a moment to learn more about me—I’m Ryan Sandstrom, a broker with Harcourts The Garner Group Real Estate. Choosing the right agent is a big step in any real estate journey, and I’m committed to making that decision easy by offering honesty, integrity, and a depth of experience that goes well beyond the traditional path.
My roots in real estate began hands-on, building homes as a young adult. I later spent seven years working in public works civil engineering, followed by twelve years managing private timberlands across the Pacific Northwest. Along the way, I’ve been closely involved in a wide range of real estate matters—purchases and sales, easement negotiations, adverse possession claims, public condemnations, and 1031 like-kind exchanges. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in the complexities of the industry and help me advocate effectively for my clients today.
I’ve also been personally investing in real estate since graduating college, where I studied geology and hydrology. That academic background, combined with my practical experience, gives me a unique perspective that benefits both buyers and sellers.
I’m proud to call Central Oregon home and am currently raising my two sons—Olin, who attends Pacific Crest Middle School, and Taos, a student at Summit High School. We love being part of this community. I stay involved by volunteering with Bend-La Pine Schools, coaching youth sports, supporting the Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA), and helping host music events.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outside—kayaking, biking, dual-sport riding, or hitting the slopes for skiing and snowboarding. I’m also a big fan of Bend’s live music scene and enjoy connecting with others who share a passion for the outdoors and local culture.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, down-to-earth broker who brings real experience, integrity, and a personal approach to the process—I’d love to help. Let’s connect and start the conversation.
