Getting to know Sonja Porter

Sonja Porter has called Central Oregon home for almost 20 years and brings a strong background in planning, land use, and real estate to her work with clients. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, she holds degrees in Geography and a Master’s in Urban and Rural Planning. Before entering real estate, Sonja worked as a resort development, city planner, and environmental consultant. Sonja later taught Geography at the college level. That experience gives her a practical understanding of zoning, development, and how communities grow, which helps clients make informed decisions whether they’re buying, selling, or evaluating property long-term.

Today, Sonja works with buyers and sellers across Central Oregon, including Bend, Redmond, Sunriver, Terrebonne, and surrounding communities. She has experience with a wide range of transactions but specializes in probate and estate sales, where patience, organization, and clear communication are especially important. Sonja focuses on guiding clients through each step of the process with straightforward advice and steady support, helping them move through what can often be complex decisions with confidence.
