Something very few people know about me:
That I’m secretly a mythical unicorn otherwise known as a local. A true native, born at St. Charles hospital and raised in Sisters OR. I’ve actually seen this area grow up and now a days there are so few natives…we are hard to find. Like unicorns.
What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
It’s cheezy but, my family. My family is everything to me. Our kids are the reason I wake up in the morning, and they are the coolest most amazing people I know. The relationship between my husband and I, downright confuses the masses. We work, live, parent, hangout, & DO… EVERYTHING TOGETHER. We been doing it this way since day one. We are inseparable, and now with our kids we are a force of fun and laughter to be reckoned with.
I’m obsessed with…
Playing hockey, well not just me, you see, we are a hockey family. My husband has been playing his entire life. He dragged me into it a decade ago and our kids who are barely old enough to skate are already busy whacking every wall we have in the house with a stick. We coach hockey, play hockey, watch hockey. If we ever don’t pick up the phone and we aren’t with clients we are probably at the rink.
Do you have any secret vices?
I cannot pass up a dog without petting it. Does that count? I love dogs. LOVE DOGS. We have one, but I want em’ ALL but John won’t let me. LOL
Shannon is a licensed realtor with Harcourts The Garner Group. She was born in Bend and grew up in Sisters Oregon. She is the definition of local! This drives her passion for community within Central Oregon. She believes it is the greatest place to live and play and the view never gets old. Shannon moved to Franklin Tennessee with her husband John for five years and opened a small coffee shop. She sharpened her skills on customer service and dedication to the quality products that they served. Living in Tennessee was great but Central Oregon was always home. So, in 2010 they returned to Bend. Living in Bend she was hired help run Cascade Indoor Sports. Managing a staff 25+ and being director of very successful Soccertots program which oversaw hundreds of children every 8 weeks instilled in her amazing organizing skills, communication and follow through. She enjoys playing with the kids and being a part of the community.
Shannon is currently on multiple boards that help organize and run youth travel soccer and hockey programs. She lives a very active lifestyle between hockey, fly fishing, camping and her two young children.
